Kingdom Living Oahu Brings Extravagant Worship to Pacific Rim Christian University Chapel**

Pacific Rim Christian University recently had the privilege of hosting Kingdom Living Oahu at its weekly chapel service, an event that left a lasting impact on the student body. Kingdom Living Oahu, a ministry school dedicated to training and equipping revivalists to impact the world for Jesus Christ radically, brought their passion for worship and the Word to the university's Lehua Room. The highlight of the service was a powerful sermon by Pastor Sam Cabra, who shared an inspiring message about Mary of Bethany and her extravagant act of worship at the feet of Jesus.

A Chapel Service to Remember

The chapel service began with an electrifying time of worship led by Kingdom Living Oahu’s team, creating an atmosphere where students could connect deeply with God. The music was more than just songs; it was an invitation to surrender fully in worship, setting the stage for Pastor Sam Cabra's transformative message.

Pastor Sam’s Message: Mary of Bethany’s Extravagant Worship

Pastor Sam Cabra delivered a sermon on Mary of Bethany, whose story is one of the most profound examples of wholehearted devotion in Scripture. Drawing from passages in John 12 and Mark 14, Pastor Sam recounted how Mary anointed Jesus with expensive perfume worth a year’s wages. Her act was described as wasteful, and she was declared "beautiful" by Jesus Himself.

Pastor Sam emphasized that Mary’s actions demonstrate what it means to "waste" our worship of Jesus—not in carelessness, but in lavish devotion that prioritizes Him. He highlighted three key moments in Mary’s life where she is found at Jesus’ feet: listening to His teachings (Luke 10), grieving over her brother Lazarus (John 11), and offering her extravagant gift (John 12). Each moment reflected her deep love and recognition of who Jesus truly is.

A Shared Mission of Discipleship

The collaboration between Pacific Rim Christian University and Kingdom Living Oahu reflects their shared commitment to boldly raising Spirit-filled leaders who live out their faith. At Pacific Rim Christian University, chapel services are events and opportunities for students to grow in their theology, ministry skills, and character. Hosting Kingdom Living Oahu enriched this mission by providing a fresh perspective on living fully surrendered to Christ.

As students left the chapel that day, they carried with them a renewed understanding of worship—not as an obligation but an opportunity to pour their hearts before Jesus. The fragrance of Mary’s story lingers as a reminder that nothing given to Him is ever wasted.
